About
Systemlays UK welcome you to their new look Free Sports Betting website.
Here you will find sports betting news, tips, strategy and advice from the free backing and laying specialists at Systemlays UK.
As our name suggests, we started in this game as horse racing layers, yet we successfully tip horse racing ‘back’ selections and, more recently, football (soccer) tips, gold tips, tennis tips and special bets (such as politics and music).
In 2000, Systemlays UK founder, Rob Scott, started selling his tips online, having developed a complex computer based speed ratings system, containing many years of racing data. At first, Rob looked into selling his data; then his databases; before finally realising that end-users were much better served by receiving the product of his system: the tips themselves, coupled with a strategy to use with it (The Staking Plan).
Once proved, by several years testing, in 2004 Rob started selling his tips on the online marketplace eBay. Pretty soon, it became apparent that there was a clear market for his tips, and the success led to many repeat subscriptions.
Systemlays UK moved to this domain around six months later, beginning inauspiciously with a website hastily cobbled together by friends-of-friends.
At the time Systemlays ceased providing paid tips, in 2006, there were in excess of 100 monthly members: a figure which had never dropped month-to-month.
After a break, during which the systems were refined slightly, and new partners brought in to the Systemlays UK parent business (24 Hour Trading) Systemlays UK relaunched, with a new look website, and a totally fresh approach: everything Systemlays UK provided before at a cost of 20 per month would now be provided free of charge!
At this time, in October/November 2007, such a move was unprecedented.
Systemlays UK are totally free to this day, and now boast a number of fine regular sports tipsters amongst their ranks as well as the computerised System Tipster which still provides the bulk of the work.
Watch out for more from Systemlays as we move into 2009 – as one of the web’s oldest, best respected, and free-est sports betting tipster services, Systemlays UK have many tricks up their sleeve which will delight many fans of sport, many fans of betting and almost every fan of sports betting!
Because Systemlays UK now generate income from advertising contained within this website, the tips, information and services provided here are, and always will be, completely free. Supporting those advertisers by signing up for their accounts, or using free bet promotions, will help to keep it that way.
Systemlays UK would like to thank all of our free email subscribers, members past and present, and everyone who keeps saying good things generally in online forums and by ‘Sharing’ Systemlays’ tips online: we do appreciate the support, and we hope we find you some profit!

Advertising Space on your website
Dear site owner,
We are interested in buying advertising space on your website for our client. If this is possible, please get back to us in order to discuss the possibility in further detail.
Thanks and kind regards,
John Rupert
No John,
We don’t sell advertising space. This is not the appropriate place to make such requests. Furthermore, we do not respond directly to people who use free email addresses.
This is a comments box to make comments about sports betting. That’s it.
Hi
I have been following your lay sys and although you have a few winners i was wondering have you a staking plan to prepare us from these odd winners??
Many Many thanks for ALL your help
GemmaM
Yes, Gemma, there is a staking plan:
http://www.systemlays.co.uk/staking-plan/
Strike rate this year has been 93%.
I am currently following various Laying sites with interest.
A LOT are experiencing serious downturns since (approx) mid Aug 2009 to current date. Tha amount of losing Lays is causing any followers a lot of very heavy hits to their betting banks.
I have checked back over SystemLays stats since 01st July 2009 and was surprised to see, that had you REVERSED the LAY £200 bets to BACK £200 on each selection – you would be £29,049.60 in profit. On the last day alone (14th Sept 2009) you would have made £23,227.20 (on Betfair less 5%) due to the 6 high value losing Lays.
Can you think of any reason for this remarkable turn of fortune?
The period at the end of the seasons is traditionally the most difficult – i.e. Spring and Autumn. However, the period since the middle of August has been terrifically bad for layers. There is no particular explanation for this, however, it does show the reasons for setting stops, and withdrawing during profitable periods: we doubled through our bank this summer, but are currently negative since early August, after consecutive losing days. Hence why one should take a long-term approach, and not view any given day’s statistics out of context. Of course certain days / races / weeks and even (though this is the first time since 2004) months can carry a negative balance: there lies the risk of betting!
While it does not please us that other (presumably paid) laying services are experiencing similar issues, it does highlight the fact that horses which have not indicated ability do seem to be winning at present. When this happens, it is usually due to unseasonable or extreme weather conditions, or some other unknowable factor, at least with our ratings (for example, a horse which comes back after a break and demonstrates unpredictably large amount of improvement).
