    Hi Jeff,

    We usually aim to have tips online by 10am. Often we are able to produce them much earlier, and occassionally they take a little longer if we receive the declarations late, or there is some delay when re run them through our computerised ratings, for example on particularly busy days, or where there are two horses with the same name (e.g. on with (IRE) after the name) as these must be manually confirmed.

    hi – looking@results on ‘racing-index’ : for systemlays ;
    1 Jan 2008 – 24 Oct 2009 : 9134 selections : 92.42 % success i.e. 8442

    just to confirm : systemlays has had 92.42% success ( 8442 winners : horses that lost )
    am i reading this right ?
    or am i interpreting the information incorrectly ?
    is the strike rate then 92.42% also ?

    Hi Martin, unfortunately Tuesday’s selections could not be uploaded to the website due to technical errors. We did post a note about this, but it was difficult to do even that early on Tuesday!

    Apologies to those of you who were affected by this – we have now identified the problem, and it should not re-occur. Thankfully, these things happen extremely rarely, but technology can occassionally let us down!

    hi,
    found your tips from BF Bot Manager forum and as a user of that bot I tried today first time your selection.

    Unfortunately, I am so new user of the bot, it seems I was not able to use recovery bet after a losing bet.

    I would appreciate if you could advise me how to get that 50% recovery setting, or if you prefer to other settings of the bot v2.

    (I have loss pot recovery 50%, max loss rec. liab 10, I use very small bank just 100€!, losses in loss pot 1, but it seems not to work…)

    Just noticed your comments about your tips being used else where.

    I only found this site 2 days ago. Think it is very good and so far impressed.

    I do however, do my own tips lays and trades which I post on twitter just before the off. I type these up at 7.30 am…..

    Today, 2 actually are on your list….

    Does this mean you don’t want me to post them on twitter??

    No Marianne, it means that people who copy and paste all of our tips and post them as their own, or into forums whether or not they say they came from us are commiting breaches of our copyright. Naturally, if other tipsters are selecting horses to back or lay, there will be some crossover, but it is fairly obvious when someone is constantly publishing the same tips as us day in, day out, that they are getting them from us. Pausing the tips for one day without notice allowed us to identify for certain who was doing this.

    You can post what you like on Twitter, of course, but it would be remiss of us not to protect our intellectual property if you were to, for example, start posting ALL of our tips onto twitter: we want our tips to be freely available always, but if people are going to take them and harm us in the process, then we’ll just stop providing them altogether as it wouldn’t be worth our time spent everyday getting them online for our users if we couldn’t make some money from advertising because someone else was giving away or selling the exact same information somewhere else having taken it from us.

    Hi,

    I’ve been following your laying tips for the last couple of days and have to say I’m quite impressed. Just wondering what do you think about betting to a certain liability every time instead of using the same stake? Or even using a % of your betting bank as liability?

    Also is there any way these results could be posted sooner or is that not possible? (don’t mean to sound rude or anything as I understand work has to be put into these selections)

    Hi Carl,

    Two points – 1 check out the Staking Plan here for thoughts on staking a %age of bank – it is a good way to go (we go for about 0.5% of bank generally). 2 you might want to have a look at automated laying bots (there’s a link in the bottom right to a couple of good ones – the Lay Bot Pro is great for our selections). The time of publication is largely dependent on the time we get the confirmed declerations – we aim to go live the night before, but we generally have to wait for going to be confirmed until the morning before running the horses through our computer – this is unavoidable, I’m afraid.

    Hi,
    Haven’t contacted you for a long time, however I just checked your proofed results for the last 12 months and to your ‘advised stakes’ it shows a LOSS of (-)£4,203.04.
    Using the same site I played with the Max & Min BFSP odds and found IF you had set a Max BFSP of 9.00 on ALL lays for the same period (resulting is a LOT less qualifying selections) there would have been a PROFIT of (+)£1,400.64.
    Is something you might consider advising in the future?
    This is very easy to action, especially if you have any Bot of course.

    Hello Dab,

    I’ve thought of doing something like that, glad someone else is thinking on the same lines.

    My only problem is I have the bot ready to do something like this but as the tips dont come out until mid day I dont have time to put these bets into my bot :(

    Naturally, you may apply any filters which you see fit!

    We will shortly be launching a backing tips service that does this very thing, but this is more difficult for laying as results are so much more influenced by price.

    Hi John,

    Thanks for your comment. I noticed that you have just joined our Super Lays service. So i will assume you are referring to that.

    The final selection criteria is price, so yes each bet needs to be placed as close to the off as possible as it is a no bet if the odds are below 4.5.

    For those with work commitments we do recommend the use of a betting bot to help with this. We have arranged a free 30 day trial with Lay Bot Pro which you can access from the homepage or members page.

    Hi John,

    We restrict the number of members to 50 so as to avoid an adverse effect of Betfair prices.

    Also we are only interested in horses over 4.5 so even if a few people lay it may only move the price by a couple of ticks.

    Additionally, the horses we are generally laying are at the front of the market so there is plenty of volume and liquidity for you to get matched.

    Ok, Thanks I receive the Message and now my first Question. You answer the layodds results is calculated with Betfair SP Price.

    Can you tell me why is Green Warrior from Yesterday declared as successfully laypick – the BSP Price for Green Warrior was 4.23 and not between the valid pricerange.

    Hi Mike

    It is an interesting question that you pose.

    The recorded BSP 5.0 by racing index, who we use to proof and record our selections.

    However, after rechecking our betfair account. We can see that the lay was indeed placed at 4.3. We use LayBotPro to automate the bet placing process and the settings are set at 4.5. So the only way this could happen is if the price changed right at the moment the bet was put into the market.

    The prices change quite a bit in the final moments before the off so it is always worth building a couple of ticks margin when placing the bet.

    Considering that SP was 7/2 and the racing index BSP was 5.0 this is definitely a qualifying selection. In circumstances like this we recommend if all other prices sources point to a bet and it is within 2 ticks of the 4.5 price then it is a bet.

    Hi Guys I would just like to thank you for your superlay and supertip services however from now on I am going to be out of the country for prolonged periods of time and won’t be able to utilise your excellent service so I have cancelled my regular payment mandate from Paypal. This will allow someone else to benefit from your restricted superlay service which is very good.
    If my situation changes I would then like to take advantage of your services again.

    Its impossible for me to open a Paypal a/c
    i live in Spain, i have tried several times, all i get, wether i use a Spanish or uk Visa/ Mastercard is error messages…
    I have called them, i speak good castellano, and english, they
    are hopeless on the phone.
    Can i not just use a card ?
