Betfair Pass Two Million Member Mark
Betfair, the world’s most popular internet betting exchange, now have over two million members registered with the site, after Bo Ohrman, a 59 year-old Swedish civil servant became member number 2 million.
The Betfair brand has only been active for eight years, and passed the 1 million member mark in 2007 – showing their growth has been extremely fast of late.
The increased numbers are perhaps unsurprising given Betfair’s expansion internationally in recent years: Betfair CEO David Yu explained
“In a year when we won a Queen’s Award for International Trade, it is fitting that Betfair’s two millionth account comes from outside the U.K.
Our international customers are already an essential part of our business and they are growing larger in number every day, so congratulations to Mr Öhrman — he’s joined the world’s biggest online betting community.”
Congratulations to Betfair.
Almost all of our tips on this very site can be played on Betfair markets, and we highly recommend using the site for all of your laying, due to the increased liquidity such a large number of active members brings.
