Cheltenham Festival 2009 – Getting There
Getting to the Festival is relatively simple by road or rail. The racecourse is situated on Evesham Road on the Northern outskirts of Cheltenham – the town has a railway station, Cheltenham Spa, which is around a couple of miles from the course – a short taxi ride (you might want to be there SEVERAL hours before racing if attempting any vehicular access!), or longish walk.

The train is one of the easiest ways to get there, and there are a number of services from London (so obviously plenty of connectors!) which will get you to Cheltenham well in time for the racing – and save you the hassle of getting a room nearby too – though you will miss out on a lot of the buzz, which is legendary if you stay in or around Cheltenham!
Get train tickets to Cheltenham early from TheTrainLine and you can get cheaper tickets!
Cheltenham Festival 2009 – Hotels & Accomodation
Getting an hotel in Cheltenham around Festival time is a bit of a nightmare – book early to avoid a last minute mad-dash of epic proportions, or take your own camper van, caravan or tent!
