At 01.45am UK Time, Argentina will kick off the anticipated Copa America 2011 against Bolivia. As hosts, they are the heavy favorites to lift the trophy but the pressure will be intense. A country which is already realling from the shock relegation of the most decorated side in Argentinian history, River Plate, and is currently beset with controversy and disagreement over the inclusion of Carlos Tevez. Sparks are sure to fly, particular if they do not get off to an emphatic start.
ESPN are providing full coverage for UK viewers throughout the tournament and YouTube will be showing all the matches in 50 countries around the world at there dedicated channel YouTube.com/CopaAmerica but alas this will not be shown in the UK for some reason. So if you are looking to catch the Argentina v Boliva match online, you could try heading over to Bet365 who will be screening all the matches provided you have a funded account or have placed a bet in the last 24 hours.
Although we have already tipped up Argentina as our pick for the tournament (read our Copa America Preview) we think they could get get off to a slow and inconspicous start and would gladly take a 1 goal win. This isn’t the same Bolivia side that beat Argentina 6v1 at altitude at the peak of the shaky start to Maradona’s reign but there is still enough in the side to cause Argentina problems if they are not entirely focused.
With all of this in mind, we are happy to start the tournament off with a couple of small bets on the draw and 1v1.
