Free Tennis Betting Tips – 2012 Family Circle Cup Day 5
Family Circle Cup, Charlestown Day 5 – Friday 6th April
WTA Women’s Tournament – Recommended Tennis Betting Tip
Our outright selection, Marion Bartoli, was eliminated in the second round. This was something of a surprise because she had a great deal in her favour this week. At the time of writing the favourite is Serena Williams but the price seems very short considering the match she has in the quarter-finals and the fact that Samantha Stosur and sister Venus are still in the draw. There are some interesting matches being played on Friday to assess and the recommendations are available below.
Polona Hercog v Nadia Petrova
This is a match between an emerging talent and a player who has been higher in the rankings in the past. Polona Hercog is the player with an improving career and she is tipped to beat her elder opponent in this match quarter-final match. It has to pointed out that Petrova does have some decent tournament form but the selection has not contested this event in the past. Hercog is just three places worse off in the current standings and has shown the better form this season to date. A continuation of her current form should see win what is likely to be a close match that requires a deciding third set.
Family Circle Cup – Women’s Day 5 Tip – Recommended Bet – 3 points back Polona Hercog at 1.72.
Vera Zvonareva v Lucie Safarova
This match should be won by the favourite as Zvonareva has everything in her favour today. She was runner-up in this event two years ago and Safarova has no comparable form. The outsider has not won a match in Charleston over the last three years and Zvonareva can confirm her supremacy with a comfortable straight sets win. The Russian has won the only match between the pair, though this was not on this week’s surface of clay but on a hardcourt. On world rankings and seedings Zvonareva can negate the marginally better form in 2012 of Safarova and justify a maximum bet.
Family Circle Cup – Women’s Day 5 Tip – Recommended Bet – 5 points back Vera Zvonareva at 1.37.
Sabine Lisicki v Serena Williams
It may be folly to oppose a player that has won 14 Grand Slam titles but the younger Williams sister must surely have a dip in form after so little competitive tennis over the last three years. The bookmakers may be pricing this match on past form as Lisicki certainly has the game and ability to win. Williams is obviously comfortable on all surfaces but it might be on a clay court that a lack of match practice tells. Lisicki won this tournament in 2009 and her opponent hasn’t played in this event for the last three years. On current form this could be a closer match than the odds suggest and backing the outsider is the best option.
Family Circle Cup – Women’s Day 5 Tip – Recommended Bet – 2 points back Sabine Lisicki at 3.0.
