Free Glorious Goodwood Tips - Tuesday 29 July 2008
As its the first day of Glorious Goodowood, and as with most big meetings, a lot of people ask for more focus on the tips, we’re going to provide two or three horses for every race of the Glorious Goodwood meeting that you can put into your Tote Placepots, Jackpots, Exactas and your each-way multibets!
As always, all of these tips are free!
You can find the latest and biggest free bet offers to help get you started this week - just check out the buttons at the top-left of every page of this site. You can find links to betting exchanges at the foot of every post too.
We’re starting today, Tuesday 29 July 2008, and shall continue for the whole Glorious Goodwood meeting. We’ll also list the start times, race names, and what channels the races are on too.
Race 1 - Bank of Scotland Investment Services Stakes - 2:15pm - Channel 4 / Racing UK
This heritage handicap is a closely matched race, in which we select three horses which we feel represent the bestchance of winning this race. All three are advised as solid each-way bets, and may also be forecasted for small stakes:
- Kinsya
- Humungous
- Caravel
However, there are arguments to be made for many of these, and a good run can be expected from Watamu, Luberon, Illustrious Blue, Royal Ascot winner Mr Aviator and Pinpoint - if you have selected any of those, you’re in with a very good chance. A super-close race, which we only suggest betting on with small stakes, for fun.
Race 2 - Betfair Gordon Stakes - 2:50pm - Channel 4 / Racing UK
The likely short-price favourite in this Group 3 event is Conduit, who looks set to start at odds-on. We think this horse is closely matched with the more favourably priced Bouguereau and therefore suggest a reverse forecast on the two and/or a small each way bet on the latter. Of the others, Donegal may be worth adding to your Placepot perms, however, we do not expect the forecast second favourite Scintillo to make the frame today.
Race 3 - Betfair Cup - 3:30pm - Channel 4 / Racing UK
In this Group 2 Betfair Cup, we’ve gone for two slightly longer priced horses who should go close at odds of around 10-1:
- Dunelight
- Al Qasi
You could also add in King of Dixie and Infallible to your Placepot or Jackpot perms.
Race 4 - Molecomb Stakes - 4:05pm - Channel 4 / Racing UK
This is yet another very good race at the Glorious Goodwood first day. We think the winner will come from the following four:
- Effort
- Rievaulx World
- Spin Cycle
- Mrs Kipling
With our ratings system, we could not split these by enough to select any fewer! A low stakes Combination Exacta may see great results (providing the first two come from this group!) at a long price. Keep stakes low - there will be better opportunities.
Race 5 - Detica Summer Stakes - 4:40pm - Racing UK
This mile and 6 furlong handicap offers a little more to gamblers, we think n each-way bet on each of the following three horses should pay dividends:
- Milne Garden
- Tilt
- Double Banded
Race 6 - Tatler Summer Season Stakes - 5:15pm - Racing UK
20 horses, 1 mile handicap. We take:
- Multakka
- The Snatcher
- Very Wise
Again, small each-way (4 places) bets and/or a combination exacta. If you’re still in the Tote Placepot or Jackpot at this stage, you might do better if you have added Yamal, Cactus King and Ivory Lace too.
Race 7 - McKeever St Lawrence Bloodstock E.B.F Maiden Stakes - 5:50pm - Racing UK
In this lucky last race, of those that have been on course and put down time, we fancy Pocket’s Pick and Run For The Hills to go well. However, betting on maidens such as this race is not something we would regularly advise.
Good luck with all your bets! Remember to try to get the latest free bet promotions by using the buttons at the top left of this site.
