Day Three of Glorious Goodwood 2008 - yet again we’ve got some excellent races in store. On this Glorious Goodwood Thursday, we’re giving you some free tips to use in Tote Placepots, Jackpots, Exactas and Trifectas as well as your more standard each-way tips too

Yesterday saw us land a phenomenal £157.40 to £1 Exacta (Spell Caster 13-2 to beat Jazz Jam 16-1 4:40pm Goodwood) so you should be up on the week if you’re following us in. Hopefully we can land a similar bet today.

Lets get down to the business of tipping horses for Glorious Goodwood once more…

As with yesterday, we shall tell you the race number, the race name, the time of the race, and the television channels upon which you can watch it in the UK.

Race 1 - Moet Hennessy Fillies’ Stakes - 2:15pm - Channel 4 / Racing UK

Glorious Goodwood Thursday gets underway with this Group 3 fillies’ race over 1 mile and 6 furlongs. There are  several in this race with a good chance, however we expect the favourite Folk Opera to go very close with Gravitation the next best.

Folk Opera is ridden by the people’s favourite Frankie Dettori, and is sure to start at quite a short price. A Reverse Exacta on the two for relatively small stakes is advised. Both horses should go into a Tote Placepot or Jackpot perm.

Race 2 -Audi Stakes - 2:50pm - Channel 4 / Racing UK

This Group 3 race is a sprint over the shortest 5f distance. These races often produce blanket finishes at this level, and many of these could win on their day. We suggest the following three for your Exacta and Trifecta perms, and any Placepot or Jackpot bets you may be making:

• Masta Plasta
• Crimson Fern
• Cute Ass

Masta Plasta is trained by David “Dandy” Nicholls, who always seems to hit these big sprints (indeed, any sprint!) hard. With just one runner in this race, his followers have their work simplified for a change! We put Masta Plasta at the top of this group on our speed ratings, though it is a close run thing, as the race itself is sure to be. Small stakes advised.

Race 3 - Royal Bank of Scotland Goodwood Cup - 3:30pm - Channel 4 / Racing UK

This Group 2 race is over 2 miles, we select the following three horses which our ratings suggest should run big races, though expect the evergreen Yeats, who should start favourite, to be right up there at the finish (put him in your combinations and permutations!):

• Regal Flush
• Peppertree Lane
• Honolulu

Race 4 - Marjorie and Bernard Benham Emerald Anniversary Stakes - 4:05pm - Channel 4 / Racing UK

A large handicap over an extended 1m1f, sees us select the following three horses for your Placepot, Jackpot, Exacta and Trifecta perms:

• Steele Tango
• Hunting Country
• Dona Alba

 Race 5 - XL Insurance Stakes - 4:40 pm - Racing UK

Another large field handicap, this time over 7f. We suggest four horses this time (most bookies will pay to four places here, if they don’t shop around!) for your perms and each-way bets:

• Northern Bolt
• Always a Rock
• Fathsta
• Aye Aye Digby

 Race 6 - European Breeders’ Fund New Ham Fillies’ Stakes - 5:15pm - Racing UK

Of those horses who have put down previous times, we have the following two ear-marked as the best in this 7f event:

• Sanvean
• Miss Sophisticat

This is the last leg of the Tote Placepot, Jackpot and Quadpot.
Race 7 - De Boer Stakes - 5:50 pm - Racing UK

Another 5f sprint, in which we have four selections who have shown great speed in recent tries and are weighted well to get up in today’s conditions:

• Mandurah
• Bertie Southstreet
• Even Bolder
• Guest Connections
