The past month has been a boon for us on the backing front, culminating with 4 profitable races, and 3 winners from 4 tips yesterday.

One thing that has come to our notice, though, particularly because we are still proofing all of our selections to Racing Index, is the fact that bookmaker SPs are almost always worse than Betfair SPs.

We have long advised everyone to use Betfair for all of your betting – lets not forget that the Betfair SP is often pretty far from the prices you couldhave got on the exchange if you bide your time – the following graph should be cast iron proof:

With bookmaker SP, our tipping showed a slight loss (minus £355 to £200 level stakes following our backing staking plan) whereas at Betfair SP we made £5,522.04 profit!

Proof, if ever any more were needed, that it pays to back as well as lay with Betfair!
